PAGS Player Development Program (PDP)
2008 - 2009 Program Details

What is the Player Development Program?
The Player Development Program is designed to provide supplemental technical training for interested players during the winter and spring seasons. Player Development stresses technical training in a professional environment for players seeking to enhance their skills.

Who conducts the Player Development Program?
Many local and regional coaches who have extensive club, high school and collegiate experience will run the Player Development Program. In addition, guest trainers will visit to conduct special clinics.

What kind of training is offered by the Player Development Program?
The Player Development Program curriculum is designed by the experienced coaching staff at United Sports Training Center (USTC). Player Development focuses mainly on technical training in a professional environment where players receive instruction from several different coaches, each with their own area of expertise. With a low player to coach ratio, instructors will really get to know and address the strengths and developmental needs of every player.

How do I know if this program is right for my child?
The player development program is perfect for the dedicated player who loves the game and aspires to play and train at a higher level. Participants have the opportunity to receive technical training throughout the winter and spring to enhance their skills and to supplement the instruction and training they are already receiving within their current team environment.

What does the program cost?
The cost to participate in the Player Development Program is $350. This covers the cost of a training T-shirt to be worn at every session and 20 training sessions running from November 23, 2008 through April 5, 2009. Sessions will run 90 minutes.

Is there an advanced program for players who progress very rapidly?
PAGS offers the Nike Elite Development Program. Players who progress rapidly in Player Development many be identified and moved to the Elite Program. If a player is moved for the Elite Program, dues paid for participation in Player Development are transferred over pro-rata and count toward the cost of the Elite Program.
