As a league sanctioned by US Youth Soccer (USYS, a national association member of USSF), PAGS is required to follow the rules, regulations and policies of USSF, including the new birth year mandates.
The soccer year will still run 1 September through 31 August. Teams will still be formed and player passes and rosters will still be issued for the soccer year. The changes that PAGS will implement are outlined below. To compute the age goup for an individual player take the second year of the soccer year (i.e 2016-2017) and subtract the birth year (2008) and you will have the age group (U9). (2017 - 2008 = U9). Conversely you can compute the birth year by taking the second year of the soccer year and subtracting the age group (2017 - U9 = 2008). For 2016-17 only the oldest age group will be designated U19/20 and will cover players born between 8/1/1997 and 12/31/1998.
